IFFCO Sagarika Liquid is a bio‑stimulating liquid fertilizer derived from concentrated seaweed extract (about 28 % w/w) sourced from red and brown marine algae. It contains natural plant growth regulators (such as auxins, cytokinins, and gibberellins), essential amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, micronutrients, bio‑potash, and betaines which enhance crop metabolism, nutrient absorption, and overall plant health. It is eco‑friendly and safe for use on a wide range of crops and soils.
Key Benefits
IFFCO Sagarika Liquid offers multiple agronomic and physiological advantages:
✔ Acts as a metabolic enhancer to stimulate crop growth & development
✔ Boosts nutrient use efficiency — makes applied nutrients more available to the plant
✔ Promotes stronger root and shoot growth
✔ Improves flowering, fruiting, and seed setting
✔ Increases crop yields and produce quality — better size, colour, taste, uniformity
✔ Enhances stress tolerance against drought, heat, salinity and other abiotic stresses
✔ Activates soil microbial activity and improves soil health
✔ Safe, eco‑friendly and suitable for sustainable agriculture
✔ Works on all major crops — cereals, pulses, oilseeds, vegetables, fruits, plantation crops, medicinal and aromatic crops
Composition
IFFCO Sagarika Liquid is a seaweed‑based organic biostimulant that naturally contains:
-
Seaweed extract (~28 % total soluble solids)
-
Plant growth hormones (Auxins, Cytokinins, Gibberellins)
-
Proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins & micronutrients
-
Bio‑potash (around 8–10 %)
-
Natural compounds such as betaines, mannitol, etc.
How It Works
Sagarika Liquid stimulates plant metabolic activity, which helps the crop take up nutrients more efficiently, encouraging vigorous growth, better flowering and fruit formation, and improved resilience to environmental stresses.
How to Use (Application & Dosage)
Best methods of application: Foliar spray is the most common; it can also be used in fertigation or as a seed treatment (depending on specific crop needs).
1) Foliar Spray
-
Dilution: 2.5 – 5 ml per litre of water (0.25 – 0.5 %)
-
Rate: 250 – 500 ml per acre per spray
-
Timing: Spray in early morning after dew evaporates
-
Typical spray schedule:
• 1st spray: Crop establishment / tillering stage
• 2nd spray: Pre‑flowering stage
• 3rd spray: Post‑flowering / fruiting stage
Optional/Extended Uses
✔ Seed treatment: Soak seeds in diluted solution (small amount, e.g., ~1 ml/litre) before sowing to improve germination & vigor.
✔ Fertigation: Mix with irrigation water (similar dilution) during early growth stages for enhanced nutrient uptake.
✔ Hydroponics: At very mild dilution (~1 ml/litre) for 15–20 day intervals to support healthy root development (adjust based on crop needs).
Best Time & Crop Stages
Apply at critical growth phases for best results:
-
Vegetative/establishment stage
-
Pre‑flowering / reproductive transition
-
Fruit formation & grain filling stages
Compatibility
-
Generally safe with most chemical and organic fertilizers
-
Improves performance of fertilisers by enhancing nutrient uptake
-
Shake well before mixing; always test a small area first if tank mixing with other products
Storage & Safety
-
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
-
Keep bottle tightly closed
-
Keep out of reach of children
-
Do not mix with strong acids or oxidizing agents directly
Suitable For
All field crops, plantation crops, fruits, vegetables, pulses, oilseeds, medicinal & aromatic crops. Works well for rainfed and irrigated conditions.
